Bestselling author Angus Fubara is an immigrant from the West African country of Nigeria to the United States. He was born and raised in the Ibani kingdom of Opobo in the mid-seventies and early eighties to a conservative Christian family home, the youngest of six siblings. Angus’ love of art and storytelling started when he was a child and would gather around his elders and kinsmen to hear stories and tales of old, and great heroes and heroines.
Angus considers himself an imaginative craftsman, a new generational storyteller. His love of the arts endeared him to become a frequent participant in his elementary and secondary school drama club as well as a chorister in his family church where his mother led the choir and drama department. His love of storytelling, poetry, and artistry inspired him to create fantasies, scenarios, and stories in his mind. Stories he desires to continue sharing to the world in his unique way.
Propelled by so many, notably his grandmother, mother, father, and Nelson Mandela’s peaceful anti-apartheid movement in South Africa, Angus became a community organizer and mentor to young men and women in his community and church.
He has also partnered and participated in giving over 27 pints of blood for the Red Cross and has actively participated in raising funds and assembling over 70 backpacks with school supplies for young students and underserved communities here in the United States. Not forgetting where he came from, Angus has and continues to be charitable and philanthropic through contributions to the education of underserved students and poor traders in his home town of Opobo, Nigeria. Angus has a bachelor’s degree in Sociology.
Angus has two decades of Hospitality Management, Competitive Market Analysis, and Feasibility Service experience. He has offered senior-level leadership and successful performance across different hotel brands, styles, and service levels.
