Inexperienced wine-lover or experienced winemaker? Whichever category you belong to, you cannot avoid respecting the 10 rules of wine drinking.

 

1. The right temperature. Bring wine to a temperature less than 1 ° -2 ° than the one recommended on the label, because it will increase anyway when poured into the glass.

 

2. Decanting. After a long period of storage, when opened wine is exposed to oxygen and the wine recovers all its qualities, for this reason should never be enjoyed immediately after opening, especially if it’s an aged red.

3. The glass. Each wine needs its glass to be fully enjoyable.

4. Have a close look. Observe the color and the way the strikes run down the glass after swirling, to establish age, structure, and body.

5. Aroma. The aroma can tell if the wine is good or bad, but also the body of the wine you are going to drink.

6. The taste. Enjoy a small amount of wine to appreciate and identify the different components (alcohol, acids, tannins) and their balance.

7. Storage. You should store the bottles in a dark, cool place, at around 12 °. Also, the bottles must be kept horizontal, so that the cork remains moist due to contact with the wine.

8. When to drink. Once uncorked, the wine should be consumed within a day.

9. Care. Don’t drink too much, retain pleasant memories of a good wine is essential for more fun evenings and for future wine tastings.

10. Good company. Nothing best than a good evening with friends to bring out the flavor out of that wine!
